| Program: After School Robotics Thursday When: This program is not currently scheduled Where: New Milford, CT Ages: 5-18 Cost: $300.00 | |||
| Here is how this program works:
Our office is conveniently located at 30 Bridge St. (the corner of West and Bridge streets) right at the railroad tracks in the downtown area. Parents can arrange for children to be dropped off at our location by providing a letter with specific information to your child's school. Busing is available from JPS, Hill & Plain, SNIS, SMS & NMHS. Unfortunately, there is no busing available from Northville as most of their students are carried North of town. Please check-out Robotics And Beyond's facebook page for more details, email us with questions, or contact your child's school. Once the series of classes is over, parents must again provide a letter to the school canceling the need for drop off at 30 Bridge St. For students in Grades K-6, we'll collect students from the bus stop at your drop-off time (generally 3:30 or 4:00) for 2 hours of creativity, problem solving, interaction with peers and fun using various materials, gadgets and gizmos like LEGO robotics, graphic design, PVC pipes, or the student's own project. Students also have the opportunity to expand to higher level programming languages, applications and electronics or other projects. For students in grades 7-12, whether bused or driven, the same opportunities apply but starting earlier (2:30) plus projects directed by us or open lab time to design and develop independent projects or work collaboratively with peers. Parents: The $300 fee applies to 2 hours of after school time, once per week, for 12 weeks. You will have some flexibility as there are 15 Thursdays in this session to choose from. Arrangements can be made for students in need of a later parent pick-up time, at an additional charge of $12/hour. This must be prearranged except in unexpected situations. Please contact us at info@roboticsandbeyond.com for further details. There will be no After School Robotics on days of school cancellation or early dismissal for weather or Parent Conferences or In-Service days. However, sometimes elementary schools are open while Middle or High School is closed or on early dismissal. If your child has school in the afternoon on their day for After School Robotics, then the class will be held. | |||
