In our Junior Camp, younger students work and play in projects specially designed for their age and skill levels but which all use and develop hand-eye coordination, creative thinking, problem solving and introduction to concepts of physics, chemistry, design, robotics and other areas. Although they have their own space, these younger students are in the same overall space as the older campers and they benefit tremendously from the exposure to older age groups and the great range of projects underway. Many parents, of both younger and older students, have told us that this broad integration of age, skill and project type is what they find most unusual and what they most appreciate and value about the camp.
  • Experience a gentle introduction to the concepts of robotics and computer science with our very own Step Turn And Learn™ card game!
  • Learn how to investigate, problem solve, and build using classic fairytales - Fairytale Engineering!
  • And other projects which all use and develop hand-eye coordination, creative thinking, problem solving and introduction to concepts of physics, chemistry, design, robotics and other areas.
Sibling discounts, multiple week discounts and financial aid are available.
($30/week for each additional sibling or week of full-day camps and $15 for our half-day camps)

We encourage you to ask about tuition assistance if you need it. Our tuition charge is one half to one third the cost of most camps around the country that target high-level engineering and science but this cost is still beyond the reach of some families. We work hard to ensure that no student is prevented from attending due to cost. We obtain support from area companies and organizations, and split this funding among those who request help. Families can also submit requests for camp tuition help to area organizations such as MVP-SOS for New Milford students (http://mvpsos.com/) or your school PTO or library.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required when registering. Payment in full is required by July 1.

Robotics & Beyond isn't a typical summer camp. You won't be expected to follow or to keep up with anyone and not everyone does the same thing. You'll have interesting projects to work on with a friend, alone or in a group and have help if you get stuck. The projects you pursue and the progress you make are your own. We have mentors from high-school, college and industry to help and inspire.

Robotics & Beyond prides itself on bringing information to its students on careers and education. During the camps we will have visits by professionals (men and women) from area businesses and college students to talk about their interests, education, and careers in engineering and science.
  • Learn about remote sensing and data analysis through environmental sensors.
  • Reconfigure and program Legos, Tetrix, Vex and even your own toys to do cool things!
  • Program in C++, Basic, NXT, Java and other languages.
  • Learn fundamentals of CAD and computer science.
  • Explore engineering careers.
  • Explore graphic design and animation software.
  • Have a Robo-War at the end of the week!
